Is Dofus Only For . . . Idiots?

Contrasting to the title, Dofus Online is actually relatively good. There are lots of servers including the legendary Heroic Server were everyone plays for keeps. (Server is definitely NOT recommended for beginners) and many of the servers are for a specific language so most of the time you don't have to worry about not being able to communicate with your teammates. Assuming you play in a party which is actually recommended because the monsters sure as heck do. Another cool thing is the variety of classes, each with it's own strengths and weaknesses along with greatly varying appearances, which you can later alter with colors and equipment to make a character that is truly 100% all your own.
Bet You Can't Find Me!!!

There is still one MAJOR problem with this game. Sadly Dofus Online is in now way a F2P game. There are two relitivly large areas for free play (The starting tutorial area and the first village you go to) however all the other areas outside that requires a monthly membership fee, similar to Runescape, however unlike Runescape for all intents and purposes the free area is pretty much a Demo that gets pretty boring after level 20+.

As a free player I have to give this game a 4 out of 10 (1 out of 5)

However if I Was playing with the membership this game would get a much higher rating.

The True Secret of The Solstice

Secret of the Solstice is a game by the same makers of one of my personal favorites Fiesta. The game has some obvious differences but all in all it's not really that bad

First thing I would like to point out, is that this game is almost completly Identical to Ragnorak Online, even the hotkeys are EXACTLY the same.

Make no mistake even with the similarities, SotS is a game all its own.

The battle system is the steriotypical you hit he hits combat style, with the occasional skill thrown in there to give you the edge, and when your playing as a rouge based class, an edge can be your's really quick.

In advance, if you plan on being a mage, you're much better off in a party (but I guess that's obvious) Mages, in this game are amazing at a distance, but unless you have somone in your party to take your hits, you wont be long range for very long...

One more thing, this game involves quests that require you to do quite alot of killing, you may find yourself getting bored from time to time because of the large amounts of farming.

That being said, this game gets a 6.5 out of 10 (2 out of 5)

The Grand Fantasia

Grand Fantasia is a nifty little MMORPG staring you and your in game companions known as sprites. Most of the game revolves around you leveling up as well keeping your sprites happy, which could mean spending 45silver on a sprite soda thingie...
The mage spells are amazing to look at, and any class that falls under the archer branch can duel wield. (But since the Archer itself doesnt have any melee skills it's not a good idea)
One of my personal favorites about this game is the necromancer, this is one of the few games that alows you to raise the dead. Which I personaly enjoy.
This game gets a 7 out of 10 (3 out of 5)
